Today, we conclude by listening to the Hail Mary sung in Latin by the Schola Gregoriana recorded some years ago at the Pallottine Seminary in Ołtarzew, Poland.

You're listening to the Ave Maria from Gregorian Vespers in honour of Saint Vincent Pallotti (Vesperae de Confessore non Pontifice). The Schola Gregoriana was conducted by Father Dariusz Smolarek.

Supporting our ‘Full of Grace’ series, many people have sent us – through Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp voice notes and email – recitations of this sacred prayer that we pray through the decades of the Rosary.

The aim is that we stand in solidarity with believers the world over and entrust our joys and sorrows (and everything in-between) to Mary.

Closing in on the last few days of our ‘Full of Grace’ series celebrating devotion to Our Lady, we’re looking east to Russia today.

Listen to the Hail Mary in Russian – an East Slavic language that is part of the Indo-European language family.

With more than 260 million speakers worldwide, Russian is the most spoken Slavic language and the most spoken native language in Europe.

Supporting our ‘Full of Grace’ series, many people have been sent us – through Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp voice notes and email – recitations of this sacred prayer that we pray through the decades of the Rosary.

The aim is that we stand in solidarity with believers the world over and entrust our joys and sorrows (and everything in-between) to Mary.

May is the Month of Mary. As we focus our prayer on Our Lady, you can listen to our audio series ‘Full of Grace’.

Today we pray the Hail Mary in German. As one of the world’s major languages, it is spoken by around 120 million people worldwide.

A principal language of Europe, it is spoken in Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Switzerland and in parts of Belgium, Northern Italy and Eastern France.

Today we head to north-eastern Zambia to pray the Hail Mary in Bemba.

It’s a Bantu language spoken in Zambia, Democratic Republic of the Congo and Tanzania. It’s also known as Chibemba, Cibemba, Ichibemba, Icibemba, Chiwemba.

The power of prayer overcomes the difficulties we face with the COVID19 pandemic. We have been sent – through Facebook messenger, WhatsApp voice notes and email – recitations of this sacred prayer that we pray through the decades of the Rosary.

The aim is that we stand in solidarity with believers the world over and entrust our joys and sorrows (and everything in-between) to Mary.

Our audio is truly global – for example our Burmese Hail Mary comes from Yangon engulfed in a frightening coup that certainly needs our prayers.

May is the Month of Mary. As we focus our prayer on Our Lady, you can listen to our audio series ‘Full of Grace’.

Today we pray the Hail Mary in French – a Romance language of the Indo-European family.

French is the official language of 29 countries and there are some 300 million people worldwide who can speak the language.

Of course Marian devotion is at the heart of Catholic France. Many of our dioceses, in non-pandemic times, hold annual pilgrimages to the world-famous shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes.

May is the Month of Mary. As we focus our prayer on Our Lady, you can listen to our audio series ‘Full of Grace’.

Today we pray the Hail Mary in Slovak – or Slovakian. It’s a West Slavic language closely related to Czech, Polish, and the Sorbian languages of eastern Germany.

Unsurprisingly, it’s the official language of Slovakia spoken by approximately five million people as a native language.

May is the Month of Mary. As we focus our prayer on Our Lady, you can listen to our audio series ‘Full of Grace’.

Today we listen to the Hail Mary in Hungarian. It’s a Uralic language and the Hungarian name for it is Magyar. There are approximately 15 million native speakers.

May is the Month of Mary. As we focus our prayer on Our Lady, you can listen to our audio series ‘Full of Grace’.

We pray the Hail Mary today in Italian. Catholic Italy is Marian Italy with over a thousand Marian Shrines. Marian devotion is a religious-cultural heritage in the country.

The aim is that we stand in solidarity with believers the world over and entrust our joys and sorrows (and everything in-between) to Mary.

Our audio is truly global – for example our Burmese Hail Mary comes from Yangon engulfed in a frightening coup that certainly needs our prayers.
