<p>Jan competed for New Zealand at three Olympic Games and won a silver medal, with Leslie Egnot, at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, in the women's 470 class.</p>
<p>Jan is a life member of Yachting NZ and Takapuna Boating Club.
