When I read the book for the first time it felt as if someone had lifted a veil that had been covering my eyes and my mind! This is the first of several episodes on this book and in it I go over what an agreement is and how it shapes our lives. I even talk about a couple personal agreements of my own that no longer serve me. In this episode I talk about the mantra I use around the podcast which is, you guessed it, The Apology Stops Here! This episode was incredibly hard to record and I even had to do a few takes of it. I tell a story that happened to me when I was a teenager, and it isn't crazy or anything, but it made me realize that I have never spoken up (or had the permission to speak up) about all the little and big messed up instances that have happened in my life. You may listen to this and think, what's the big deal, but I'm here to tell you that this is the first (baby) step for me in telling my truth and I think I felt the enormous weight of that when recording this episode.
