I'm starting to see that maybe those lessons are also about the bigger picture. Perhaps the things and desires that we want and don't achieve are there to help us help others. This past week I was invited to speak to students at Notre Dame in the entrepreneurial program. What I shared with them wasn't about success. It was about the hard lessons I had learned. I wouldn't have been invited to share if I hadn't had those lessons.
