John chapter 1 describes Jesus as the Creator of the entire universe. If we were to compare ourselves to the boundless universe that God created, we would realize what small and dismal creatures we are. This is why we cannot thank God enough for being able to meet such great God. It was the greatest of all miracles. Even now, I think that it is the greatest of all miracles that I have met with God, who came by the gospel of the water and the Spirit.
Jesus was the Creator, who created this vast universe that spreads millions upon millions of light years wide. God has also prepared the eternal Truth and the true salvation, which are invisible to our eyes. God is truly an amazing God. God’s utmost work was creating humans, out of all other God’s creations, as His own children.

Ch1-2_We Must Be Born of God (John 1:12-18)

We have to believe in Jesus Christ our Savior, who came by the gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit, in order to receive salvation from all our sins. John 1:10 says, “He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.” Here, the phrase “He was in the world” implies that Jesus Christ has actually existed in this world. The Lord is the Creator of this world. Thus, the Creator of this world came to the creatures He had created and lived together with among them. However, nobody in this world, not even the Jews, recognized Him as the Savior.

Ch1-3_The Love of God Revealed through Jesus，the Only Begotten Son (John 1:15-18)

In today’s Scripture passage, we can see that John the Baptist, who had baptized Jesus, and the Apostle John the gospel writer are witnessing to us about Jesus, who has become our Lord and Savior: “John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, ‘This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me’’” (John 1:15). John the Baptist witnessed about Jesus Christ by saying, “When He comes, He will judge with the fire and deliver with the water.” The Apostle John witnessed about Jesus, saying, “And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. For the law was given through Moses, but the grace and truth came through Jesus Christ” (John 1:16-17). Furthermore, it continues on, saying, “No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him” (John 1:18). There is no one among us who has seen God through the naked eye. However, we are able to see Him through the one and only begotten Son of God who was at the bosom of the Father. This means that only Jesus Christ, who was in the bosom of the Father, had revealed to us what God is like.

Ch1-4_The Truth That John the Baptist Testified (John 1:19-28)

John 1:6-7 says, “There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe.” Here in this passage, ‘John’ is not the author of the Gospel of John, the Apostle, but John the Baptist who was God’s promised Elijah to come. As it is prophesied in Malachi 4:5, we can understand how the Gospel Truth is being witnessed by John the Baptist.

How weak is a human being? As we begin to think about this question, we should not place our hearts in high places. A person should know his fundamental nature and humble his heart.
What is a human being? I am asking what a human being is at its fundamental level. When we examine ourselves as human beings, do we really live by lofty ideals, excellent abilities, power, and perspectives? In actuality, we fall short of these qualities. We may have lofty ideals in our heads but people cannot live up to their ideals by themselves. We are such weak beings.

Ch1-6_The Faith of Believing Only in the Word of God (John 1:1-8)

It is written in John 1:18, “No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.” Jesus who was in the bosom of God the Father came to this world in the flesh of man to save us from the sins of the world. Not one human being has seen God with the eyes of the flesh. However, God appeared and showed Himself to us through His Son. God the Son came to this earth wearing the flesh of a human being and revealed Himself as the Son of God to be seen in the eyes of the people.

Ch1-7_We Couldn’t Be Happier than This (John 1:29-31)

You are so tired, aren’t you? I am very tired too. I know that we are weary because we work hard serving God’s righteousness everyday. All of us truly have hardships, and we are serving the Lord in spite of these hardships.
Anyways, we have converted some precious souls that are more valuable than the universe during the evangelical meeting this week. I am sure that the souls received the salvation during this time because of all the spiritual works that took place at this evangelical meeting. I am very thankful that each of you have served in many ways and at every opportunity, leading souls, sharing newspapers, praying, attending meetings, and so on. We cannot thank God enough, for we have won some souls that are more precious than the entire universe! The evangelical meeting is really worth to having! We also are grateful to God whenever we hear the good news from our readers who have read our spiritual growth series. We really give thanks.

After giving the baptism to Jesus, he also testified that Jesus is the Son of God, saying, “I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’ And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God” (John 1:33-34).

There is a small town called Cana in the Galilees. Today’s Scripture passage talks about a wedding that was held in Cana, Jesus performed the miracle of turning water into wine.
When we speak of weddings in our lives, it reminds us of the happiest moment of our lives. How does a newly married couple feel when a man and a woman come to marry each other? They surely feel happy. Today’s Scripture passage describes an event during a wedding feast, and it teaches us what we need to believe in order to have true happiness in front of God. I would like to share what we need to believe in the correct things in order to be as happy as we are at weddings.

Ch2-2_We Can Taste the Blessings from God Only If We Obey the Word of God (John 2:5)

If we look at the Word in John 2, we see that Jesus was invited to a wedding in Cana, a town in Galilee. Jesus attended the celebration with His disciples, and Mary, His mother on earth. The wedding feast was most likely very crowded with guests, as the servants became distraught because they had run out of wine. “What should we do about this? There are so many guests here. What should we do?” At this moment, Mary said something amazing. She said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it” (John 2:5). Mary is telling the servants this with Jesus in mind.

Ch3-1_We Have to Be Born Again by Knowing and Believing in This Way (John 3:1-6)

Most Christians are trying their best to be born again. Still, there are many who use the term “being born again” without knowing the meaning behind these words. Although they often hear that they need to be born again because they are sinners, most people do not know the exact meaning of these words. Still they say, “I have been born again since I believe in Jesus,” or “I am sure I was born again when I was praying fervently in the mountain, since I felt the fire inside of me back then.” The problem is that people only rely on their emotions in this matter of Truth. Those people, who claim to have been born again without knowing the Truth of salvation, must be born again only through the Lord-given gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit.

We have to die to our sins in our faith and be born again by believing that Jesus Christ the Son of God has truly fulfilled God’s righteousness by coming to this world, taking all the sins of the world onto Himself through the baptism He received from John the Baptist, and paying them off with His blood on the Cross. This is being born again. The Bible tells us that no one can enter into the Kingdom of God unless he is born again of water and the Spirit (John 3:5).

The Lord said to Nicodemus, “Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God” (John 3:5). Then, Nicodemus asked Jesus in return, “How can an old man be born again? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born again?” Nicodemus was a ruler of the Jews and a Pharisee. But, he did not understand what Jesus said to him because of his carnal perspective. As a result, he thought that one had to be born again from his mother’s womb all over again.

Had we not known God’s love, we would have had no choice but to live dark and empty lives. We would not be able to spread the gospel of the water and the Spirit in joy. Without knowing God’s love, it would be too difficult for us to work for Him.

Ch3-5_Let Us Do Spiritual Work by Faith (John 3:16-17)

It is so difficult for human beings to live in this world. Struggling against the rapidly changing environment is hard enough, and many people have perished from recent heat waves. Every summer, we hear of news about how many people did not survive through the scorching heat waves and perished. Temperatures in my country during the summer have also gone up so high that it feels as though I live in a tropical climate, and simply taking in breaths is hard work. The world has yet to see far worse heat waves, and so my heart is determined to spread the gospel of the water and the Spirit to everyone throughout the world as soon as possible.
